Taylor Swift, a beloved American singer-songwriter, and Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, are the new “it-couple," according to today's news outlets and social media.
Taylor Swift has had many romances during her career, both public and private. Her most recent relationship with Travis Kelce have led many of Swift’s followers, including myself, to have mixed feelings about their current relationship.

Many people say that they do not think that the pair will last due to the media and NFL fans tearing down their romance by calling it fake and saying they’re only dating for good PR, due to the fact that her relationship with Kelce is arguably one the most public ones she has ever had, especially in comparison to her last one.
Taylor Swift has a mass amount of haters to combat her large fanbase. This being her most public relationship makes her more susceptible to hate, especially from football fans who have even gone as far as to accuse her of ruining the beloved sport. Swift has always been a very positive person, but this new hatred towards her could be detrimental to her mental well-being.
However, many of the singer's fans who want her to find love and happiness are focused on the positive sides of her and Kelce. Numerous fathers who are fans of the Chiefs team and their Swiftie daughters are even bonding over football due to Swift and Kelce’s relationship.
I was watching the Super Bowl LVIII with my dad, and seeing Kelce’s outburst for being taken off of the field was something shocking to see.
My dad’s reaction to Kelce’s outburst was, “it shows he is passionate about his game”.
Taylor is one of the many artists that girls and boys alike admire. She is also someone whose fans turn to for relationship advice through her relatable songs. Taylor has publicly announced that 13 has always been her lucky number, and if you believe in astrology and lucky numbers, you might be joining many of Swift's fans in believing that since Travis Kelce is her 13th boyfriend, he could be the lucky guy to marry this popular American icon.
As a kid, I grew up with Taylor’s music, admiring her prestigious presence, her morals and her ability to overcome betrayal from other artists & managers. Although there are a lot of hopes for this new couple, time will tell if Kelce is the right guy for her or if she will continue to search for love in the future. In the end, finding her true love and soulmate will give her the happiness of a lifetime.
