On November 5, 2021, Louisville held its annual event where eighth grade girls get a taste of Louisville. To begin the day, arriving eighth graders were greeted by a squad of spirited and cheering Louisville girls welcoming them onto our campus. Once all the eighth graders had arrived, they were sorted into groups and began a tour of the campus. The girls were brought to different locations on campus and got to participate in different activities, learn about multiple programs Louisville has to offer, and meet many of our wonderful teachers and staff.
The different stations included the English Wing, where the eighth graders got to meet all of our amazing English teachers and learn about the different curriculums and books that will be taught throughout their Louisville career. They also got to participate in a fun creative writing activity where they would begin to write a story and then that story would be continued by the person behind them. This cycle was repeated a couple of times until the multi-authored story was complete.
