With Thanksgiving season coming to an end, it’s time to reflect on all the things we’ve been thankful for this past year. We decided to ask Louisville students and staff around campus to see what they’re thankful for, and here is what they said:

“I am thankful for so many things but especially all the amazing friends I have met over the course of this year so far. They are all like my sisters now and I'm so grateful for all the support and love they show me,” said Grace Arce ’25.

“I am thankful for all our wonderful teachers who willingly take time out of their days to help us improve and answer our numerous questions. I am also thankful for all of the amazing opportunities offered at Louisville, from the FOCUS program to our athletics, and how they allow us to explore new interests and become our best selves,” said Brooke Freyer ’24.

“I’m thankful for my little sister because she has always been there for me and is encouraging with every endeavor that I undertake,’ said Dzian Tran ’23.

"This holiday season I am grateful for Louisville. At Louisville I have made lifelong friends, met supportive teachers and had the resources and opportunities to thrive. I don't know where I would be without the ’Ville,” said Ava Browne ’22.

“I am thankful for my students. I am grateful for their resilience, understanding and enthusiasm. They give me a daily sense of purpose. Being back in the classroom has given me a renewed sense of appreciation for teaching Louisville girls,” said Mrs. Goldstein-Boag.

“This holiday season, I am grateful for my family and two girls, Samantha and Grace. In addition, I am thankful for my new position and mentoring students and getting the opportunity to put my faith into action though various retreats and liturgies. It has been a wonderful year. I am also thankful for this wonderful, supportive community,” said Mrs. Hicks.

“I am thankful for the joy, the love and the laughter my friends, family and students bring to my life. Every day is simply unique when you have people who make it special,” said Mr. Sanchez.

“I am thankful for life, family, and friends! Also, for lessons I am learning from my 99 year old mom AND from my 6 month old granddaughter. God is good all the time...All the time, God is good. Thank Him,” said Mrs. Crawley.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to spend more time with my students. They make it easier to get up every morning,” said Mrs. Escobar.

"Through my first few months at Louisville High School, I am truly grateful for a community of supportive patient students, parents and faculty. Not only has this community welcomed me with open arms, but also guided me to evolve into the best high school science teacher I can be. Thank you Louisville," said Mr. Boyd.
