If You are Bored, Here are Some Fun Things to Do This Fall

Perhaps it is my lack of social activity but during the holiday season I find myself sulking in boredom. Due to my laziness, I love finding fun, affordable activities to do without having to conduct all the research myself.
I always hope for a “Gilmore Girls” fall - full of colorful leaves, coffee, books and crisp air. So, I thought if you are like me and want a romanticized fall, then here are some events that might just peak your interest. The broke teenager struggle is real so if you want to treat yourself or have a special day this November, your splurge will be at the end.
This Fall at the Getty
At the Getty, there are five new exhibits that look very fun to explore. To get your ticket you simply go to their website and reserve a free time slot!
Reinventing the Américas: Construct. Erase. Repeat.
This exhibition analyzes the Americas, questioning the utopian vision that proliferated through European conquest.
Eighteenth-Century Pastels
The common known media pastels peaked in popularity in the 18th century as they were portable, blendable, and created durable portraits.
Dutch Drawings from a Collector’s Cabinet
Featuring rare landscapes and botanical drawings of renowned Dutch artists.
Códice Maya de México Visualizing the Virgin Mary
A testament to the complexity of Indigenous art through the depiction of the Virgin Mary.
