Hello! My name is Darcy Mullane and I am so excited to be Louisville’s Editor in chief of Design. This is my second year on the staff and I have learned so much and my passion for writing and design has only grown. I hope to study journalism in college and be a world renowned journalist in the future. Not only do I love to write and design, I also love to read, watch movies and bake. My favorite books and coincidentally also movies is the Harry Potter series. I love reading romance books and many of my articles will mention books. Baking is genuinely one of my favorite and most relaxing hobbies. Sometimes I’ll just feel an overwhelming urge to bake at random points during the day. I am a connoisseur of eclairs and cookbooks. Finally, I am so excited to continue my journey in journalism and write for all of you!

Website Designer

Howdy! My name is Emma Aviv and I am a senior. This is my second year on staff and I am so excited to continue writing for The Royal Newspaper! This semester I am taking on the role of Website Designer. I love reading, as I’ll read anything from Fight Club to Beach Read. I have a crippling addiction to Barnes & Noble (even though I haven't been in a long long time). My music taste is constantly changing but I am a big fan of nu metal. My playlist goes straight from "Les" by Childish Gambino to "Swerve City" by Deftones. I will shamelessly admit that I will forever and always be an Among Us fiend. I’m obsessed with jorts, dinosaurs (Go Red Dinos!), and late night drives (of course while blasting music). I am so excited to contribute to The Royal once again and see all of the amazing content the rest of the staff produces!

Hi! My name is Kelsey Phillip and I am a Junior. This is my second semester on the Royal staff and I am the design editor for the Opinion and Arts & Entertainment pages. I can't wait to keep writing great articles that you can find interesting. I also can't wait to design the pages that you guys read after the newspaper prints.  I have been watching sports since I was little, going to Dodger’s games and watching the Clippers play since the Crypto.com Arena was the Staples Center. I used to run track and play basketball when I was younger as well as playing volleyball Freshman year here at Louisville. I love watching reality shows like Love Island or Below Deck and listening to music.

Heyoooo, my name is Leanna Flexo and I am a senior at Louisville! I am also the Content Editor for Features. This is my first year being a part of Journalism and I’m so honored to be a part of The Royal Newspaper at Louisville. I truly love writing and reading so much and I

love that I get to do those things all the time in this class. I’m a big music fiend, and as a result I have a very wide range of music that I listen to, but my favorite artists at the moment are definitely Lana Del Rey, Wallows, and TV Girl. Indie rock is just sooo good. Anyways, my

favorite hobbies include reading, playing my ukulele, and digital photography. I love to tinker with cameras and edit photos. I adore anything about Fall and Halloween, as it is my favorite season with the best holiday. My favorite movie would have to be Free Guy and my favorite show is tied between You and Daisy Jones and the Six, which is also one of my favorite books. I hope that the newspaper will be one to remember this year for everyone and I cannot wait to see

This is my first semester doing Journalism and I am beyond excited to be a part of such an amazing team and to be the Around Campus Page Editor! In my free time, you can catch me watching South Park or Friends, two of my favorite shows. My favorite hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music, and dance! I love listening to Lana Del Ray, Tv Girl, and Cigs After Sex.
