Hey, I am Zia. I am Editor-In-Chief of content on the Royal Newspaper. I love music, art, and writing. A little bit about me, I think that I am heavily influenced by my childhood obsession with Mamma Mia. I am a horror freak and big big fan of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show”. I am a returning staff member due to my odd attachment to this class and my fellow peers. I am a trained oil painter and also a sketching enthusiast. I am very excited to be able to read and edit all of our beautifully written articles. This class is my safe space and I am so lucky to have it a part of my life once again. I hope you enjoy our issues this year! 

Hello! My name is Amanda Baucher, and I’m a senior. This may be my first year at Louisville, but this is my fourth year as a school newspaper staff member. I’m very excited to be on the Royal Staff! A little about me: I love reading, I am a soccer player, and I surf when I can get to the beach! Some of my favorite books are Normal People by Sally Rooney, Harry Potter, and pretty much anything written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I’ve got quite the music taste, but I’m almost always listening to artists Beyoncé, Hozier, Noah Kahan, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler the Creator. Hi everyone, my name is Hannah Langley and I am a senior. I am on my fourth semester of journalism, yes, I did this willingly I like doing journalism because I get to be creative and write about things that interest me, but also because I really like writing for other Louisville students. English and history have always been my best subjects, so journalism is the perfect class for me, it is also what I plan to study in college. Some of my favorite things are cooking, listening to music, playing tennis, or hanging out with my sisters and friends. I have been really into SZA, Hozier, and Suki Waterhouse recently. I am super excited to keep writing and podcasting for The Royal, I hope you all enjoy it too! 

Hi!! My name is Chloe Bowling and I’m a junior taking my first semester of Journalism. I’m so excited to be working on the newspaper this semester as the Arts and Entertainment Editor!  At Louisville, I’m co-captain on the cross country team, perform in the Louisville musicals and dance concerts. Running and performing are two of the ways that let me feel free and let me express myself in a way that I cherish and love. I love movies and everything film related and one day want to be involved in the film industry. My dream is to be a part of the cast of Saturday Night Live. I love hanging out with my friends and siblings and laughing. I’m so happy to be part of the newspaper this semester! 

Hi! My name is Ariella and I am a sophomore at Louisville. I’m so excited to be a Design Editor this semester! In my free time, I love writing, hiking, hanging out with friends, and playing with my German Shepherd puppy. I can always be found at the beach and I love nature. I love listening to Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and occasionally country. I am so excited to be part of the Royal staff this year!
