Hey! I’m Olivia and I’m the Editor-in-Chief of the Royal Newspaper. This is my second year in Journalism, and I’m so excited and feel so grateful to hold this role as I’ve always admired the past editor-in-chiefs. I absolutely love all things music, especially Taylor Swift, so look out for lots of music centered articles! I love books (#1 Gatsby fan) and writing, and my favorite movie in the whole world is “Dead Poets Society,” which probably isn’t a shocker for the Editor-in-Chief of a newspaper. I’m an iced coffee connoisseur and my favorite hobby is driving around trying new coffee places with my best friend. I love getting to share fun and unique stories with the Louisville community, and it makes my day whenever I see students and teachers around campus get excited about the newspaper. I look forward to the many exciting articles our staff will create, and I hope you love The Royal as much as I do! 

Hi, my name is Charlotte Bossuat-Guichaoua and I am a junior who recently transferred to Louisville from London. This is my first semester taking Journalism, and I’m the Copy Editor for the Louisville Royal newspaper. I joined journalism because I think this is a good way to extend my writing skills while learning more about Louisville's events, sports, and history. Outside of journalism I participate in both cross country and track and field. I love listening to music, reading, and taking lots and lots of pictures. In my free time, I explore new places -  especially since moving to America. I try to experience something new every day, and I often go on long walks with my headphones in. I listen to all kinds of music but my favourite band is Cocteau Twins. I really enjoy being part of the team and I’m excited to write articles for the Royal.  

Hello! My name is Marlo Butler and I am a sophomore as well as a Copy Editor on the Royal Newspaper. I joined journalism because I love yapping and found I’m best at getting what I want to say out in writing. Events, trends, and people are most definitely my favorite topics to see in articles. Some fun facts about me: I’ve been addicted to matcha since 2021, I love Blood Orange and Frank Ocean, and know a lot of brainrot. My favorite pastimes are reading and singing. I’m so excited to be writing for the Royal!

Hey everyone! My name is Bridget and I am a sophomore. This is my first semester of journalism class and I’m so excited to be a Copy Editor. A little something about me is that my favorite books to read are dystopian novels because I just love reading about twisted futuristic worlds. I especially enjoyed reading Legend by Marie Lu, Parable of the Sower and The Handmaid’s Tale, to name a few. I’m also a huge F1 and NFL fan, so my Sundays are always busy in some capacity. I love watching these sports plus movies and tv shows too. I find the most content I love on Netflix and HBO Max. I’m eager to continue writing articles for the Royal!

This is my 9th year teaching at Louisville and my 8th year as the staff moderator on this paper. I am honored to lead such a remarkable bunch of young women as they create interesting content and report the news of our campus.
