Editor-in-Chief

Hello everyone! My name is Alex Grenn and I am the new editor-in-chief for The Royal this school year. I hope as you are reading this newspaper, you are enjoying these fun and exciting articles written by our hard working staff! Speaking of staff, it is time to introduce who they are, their position on the staff and their personal fun facts!

First up is our Copy Editor: Emma Aviv '24. Emma’s role is to edit every article going in the newspaper. Her fun fact is that one time, she almost drowned in two feet of water.

Our new Social Media Coordinator is Mona Elzein ’23. Mona is excited to share news to the Louisville community through social media on the @lvhsroyals Instagram page once a week. Keep a lookout for some fun Louisville content coming your way! A little fun fact about Mona is that she had a serious Grey’s Anatomy obsession during middle school.

Then we have our News Editor: Darcy Mullane ’24. Darcy reviews all our news stories and ensures that Louisville is receiving quality and accurate news every issue. A funny thing about Darcy is that she truly hates running even though she used to be on the cross country team.

Next is Zia Eger-Slobig ’25. Zia is our Arts and Entertainment Editor and she is super excited to edit this column because of her love and interest in all things art. A fun fact about Zia is that she once dated a fanfiction writer in middle school.

Now it’s time to introduce our Features Editor, Aidan Altman ’25. Aidan is so excited to share some new and fun topics through the Features page. A cool tidbit about Aidan is that she speaks Russian!

Then we have Carissa Becker ’24, our Around Campus Editor, and she will be updating Louisville about everything going on around campus. Something interesting about Carissa is that she hates both seafood and steak.

Finally, we have Charlie Dietchman ’23 who is our Opinion Editor and Sports Editor. She is thrilled to bring different perspectives on various topics through the Opinion page and update Louisville on all things sports on the Sports page. Her fun fact is that she has had five black eyes in her life so far.

As your staff, we will do everything we can to provide you with an interesting, wonderful, unique and reliable paper every issue. We hope you enjoy this issue and we look forward to showing you more of our work!

Sincerely,

Alex Grenn ’23
