Tate McRae, a pop artist on the rise, has become quite popular in the past few years. Tate started off her career as a famed dancer, yet found that singing was her other passion. She combines both talents in her concerts, making them entertaining to watch, easy to dance along with and fun to blurt the lyrics to at the top of your lungs.

Her newest album, “So Close to What?” has specifically boosted her fame, but some fans can claim to be OG’s from her “Create with Tate” YouTube video days, when she was a teenager.
Tate is very popular with Louisville students as many, including myself, attended this concert.
On Saturday, September 27 2025, I attended her sold out show, Miss Possessive. Taking place at the infamous Kia Forum, the crowd was stuffed with fans of all ages. This is her fifth tour and with her rising popularity, we are expecting many more to come. Her music, with its fun and uplifting beat makes for a great dance party, in a room full of your best friends, or even by yourself!
Fashion was a huge part of this tour. You may have seen on social media the similar outfits all the fans wore, and I won’t lie, I am a guilty participant. Everywhere you looked you would see knee high boots, micro-skirts or shorts, leather EVERYTHING, jerseys, sparkly tops, snazzy glasses, leopard print and, of course, Tate McRae merchandise!
It was a goal of mine and my friends’ to film many TikToks in our outfits, following the trends made popular by other teenage Tate Mcrae fans. You couldn’t walk a few inches without seeing videos being made or pictures being taken with a digital camera (don’t forget the flash!).
Some may have called this concert a fashion show or even a team sport gathering, seeing everyone was in the same outfit.
Zara Larsson opened for Tate, and when she came on at 7:30, it was absolutely amazing. The opening act was almost like a whole other concert in itself. She played the known and loved songs like “Lush Life” and “Symphony” - remember last year’s dolphin and rainbow craze? Her show deserved a standing ovation and her performance was incredible.
At around 9 p.m., the star of the show appeared. Tate in all her glory began with an intriguing introduction; bright lights, smoke, loud sounds and finally, “Miss Possessive” projected on the screen. Her ability to dance and sing so well at the same time was impeccable. And don’t even get me started on the talent of her background dancers and band that works behind her. Tate is truly an amazing person and performer, inspiring many girls with her success and career.
Some may consider her the new Britany Spears, and although I agree, I find that Tate is building her whole career from her image only. She truly expresses herself, and we love to see it! Miss Possessive was by far the best concert I have attended and I hope to see her next tour too.
