Louisville’s annual Senior Fashion Show and Luncheon took place on Sunday, April 26 at the Hyatt Regency in Westlake - a new venue this year! The theme was “Be the Light” to celebrate the liveliness and joy that students bring to Louisville.
The event began with check in in the hotel lobby, followed by an elaborately decorated hallway filled with boutique tables. Some highlights include a design-your-own trucker hat, tote bag and makeup bag station with Always Annalee and a charm necklace, keychain and bracelet bar hosted by Natalie B. Designs. Various tables filled the hallway with items being auctioned off, such as two designer bags and locally made, designer jewelry.

Each class also had a table with auction items corresponding to their themes. The freshmen class featured “Fun in the Sun” goodie bags, with items such as sunscreen, towels, beach coolers and beach toys. The sophomore class table was “Shine Bright like a Diamond” featuring lots of self-care items. To fit their theme of “La Bella Figura,” the junior class auctioned off wine, pasta-making kits and even an opportunity to be the first pick for a parking spot in the senior lot. ” And finally, the senior class sold baskets filled with dorm and travel supplies, including a Nespresso, for their theme of “Bright Futures Ahead.”
The luncheon started off with President Dr. Aguilar giving a few words of gratitude to the students of Louisville who make the school a place filled with light, and thanking the sponsors of the event for their generous donations. This speech was followed by a prayer given by principal Dr. Quinn ’94 before the meal.
After lunch, student performers kicked off the fashion show! Sophia Serrano ’27 performed a folklorico dance, Harlow Duke ’29 impressively belted “This Girl is on Fire” and Kate Ben ’26 sang the classic tear-jerker, “Slipping Through my Fingers.”
Many seniors strutted the runway with their classmates, friends, dads, uncles and brothers. The models showcased their true love for one another, giving the entire room insight to their communities—whether that is their school, family, or friend communities. The audience laughed, cheered and even cried, especially during Scene Four’s father-daughter dances with the song “Yellow” by Coldplay. The seniors and their partners walked the runway with confidence, elegance and the utmost poise, showing off their own unique styles.
One of the coordinators of the event, Ms. Sullivan ’14, shared a few words on her experience creating this magical afternoon:
“I’m super happy with the turnout, I think a lot of people had fun! It was more intimate, which I enjoyed. My favorite part was the fashion show portion because I got to know all the students and parents better. It’s very cute to see the father-daughter relationships on stage,” explained Ms. Sullivan.
A huge thank you to the choreographers, Advancement team and sponsors who put on this wonderful event for seniors and Louisville families! This annual tradition holds a special place in the hearts of members of the Louisville community, and we look forward to going out into the world, inspired to “Be the Light!”
