The infamous Crespi Welcome Dance we all know and love took place on the night of September 6 2025. Crespi and Louisville students “danced the night away,” with popular music under neon lights in the quad. This function proved to be quite the opportunity for Louisville students to showcase their true self, singing, dancing and meeting new people.
This year, the dance took place outside, and students were given the opportunity to play games, such as connect four and horse-shoe toss, and enjoy refreshments when they needed a break from the dance floor. The ‘wild west’ theme was executed perfectly; everywhere you looked you could see cute boots, cowboy hats or even bandanas.
Many students attended this year, and hit the dance floor.

“I had a great time on the dance floor and was having a lot of fun,” said Hadley Jackson ’29.
One noticeable disappointment was the fact that no food was served. The dance did start at 8pm, but students were definitely hungry afterwards. Many made their way to Chick Fil A or other surrounding restaurants, which is also a common tradition after numerous Crespi events.
Should food at dances be more normalized? Louisville’s annual Fall Ball, which is coming up October 4th, has a great reputation for dinner, desserts, and many other treats to enjoy.
No matter what, it was easy to see that students had a great time enjoying the party under the skies of the wild west. This dance is one annual event that makes headlines every year!
