Two students hanging out at MORP
On the evening of Friday, April 17, students walked through the Louisville gates ready for a tropical evening getaway! They were dressed like they were ready to hop on a plane to Hawaii at the doors of St. Louis Hall, being welcomed by ASB in their vacation attire, excited to take on MORP, or “prom” spelled backwards.
Everyone dressed in their favorite beachy outfits, following this year’s theme of “Tropical Vacation,” wearing bright colors, Hawaiian shirts and palm-tree patterns.
The decorations helped to emphasize the theme as there were inflatable surf boards and palm trees, balloons and glow sticks scattered throughout the space. Upon entry, there was a table filled with on-theme temporary tattoos such as beach balls, palm trees and starfish. There was also a wide selection of snacks available, led by Mr. Batch and ASB Historian Emma Farkas ’26. Whether people were grabbing something to eat, applying tattoos, or doing the conga, there was always something to do.
Music played a big role in keeping the energy up throughout the night. A huge thank you to the DJ, ASB Social Chair Olivia Haber ’26 who played newer songs like “Nokia” by Drake, as well as classic hits like “Baby” by Jusin Bieber (I mean, who needs Beiber-chella when you have Louisville MORP!).

Students shared positive feedback about the event as well.
“I really enjoyed the music that was being played. I felt like it was really able to bring Crespi and Louisville together,” shared Crespi student Rene Negrete '27.
“I love the tropical theme, I think it’s a really nice touch,” said Sophia Tejwani '27 highlighting how much the decorations and concept contributed to the experience.
Ben Fitzgerald '28 added, “I think this is litty, and everyone should be on the dance floor so we can have a boogie,” capturing the fun spirit of the night.
Huge shoutout to this year’s ASB for bringing back this dance. MORP is a great opportunity to make new friends and have a good time and I think we should try to make this a consistent tradition again. I believe that with the help of our new ASB president Anya Fierson '27 we have a chance of making it even better.
Overall, MORP offered a cool twist on the typical school dance. It turned out to be a memorable night filled with dancing, laughter and an even stronger sense of community.
