On August 23 2025, Crespi hosted their annual Frosh Box for Louisville freshmen to get to know their corresponding Crespi class.
Louisville students like Eva Endler ’29, anxiously noted that “we don’t know what to expect” before she was led to her table. Understandably so, for most of us know all too well that Frosh-Box is an unpredictable canon event in a Louisville Girl’s life.
Crespi and Louisville freshmen excited for their Frosh Box dinner!
Many of the tables were intricately designed with vases of flowers, themed decorations and beautiful platters of food. Some groups chose to go with a common theme, such as Table Six, where each boy was accessorized with sombreros and maracas. When asked about his choice of decor, the self-titled ‘head decorator,’ Ben Gonzales ’29, told us an elaborate story about a drive to Mexico. However, he ended his story a few minutes later in a reluctant admission that the mini sombreros had in fact come with the maracas in a set he had ordered a few days before on Amazon.
Another notable stylish choice was at Table Nine, who refused to take off their matching sunglasses the entire time.
Many different types of food were enjoyed by Louisville freshmen, including over 15 tables serving Italian food! Most food served by the Crespi Class of 2029 was clearly either DoorDashed or picked up to-go, but some tables took the liberty of including home-cooked dishes. The highlight of the night was when Noah Cocco ’29 shared his delicious homemade tiramisu with each table.
Some tables were exceptional , like Table 19 who gave roses to each girl upon greeting them. However, some instances of table-swapping developed as the night went on, reportedly motivated by the different foods their friends had to offer.
While the Louisville girls were a bit nervous throughout the night, the Crespi freshman seemed confident and eager. Their attitudes were received very differently by different people.
While some chose to chat with their classmates only, other freshmen, like Eva Lopez ’29, reported that her group was “really talkative”.
Another notable recurrence from last year's Frosh-Box was the unexplainable clapping mid-meal. This mysterious gesture happened yet again with freshmen left questioning just exactly what they were clapping for.
Meanwhile, most volunteers, ASB members from both schools, and our reporters hung back and watched the event unfold, partaking in epic bottle flipping competitions near the back of the awning. ASB and Journalism thoroughly enjoyed their ability to pick off of leftovers while the freshman enjoyed their games on the field.
We’re excited to see how the new friendships have developed at our next freshman event in February, Freshman Flip!
