After breaking the record for most streamed debut album in a week by a female artist on Spotify, Olivia Rodrigo has taken the pop music world by storm with her second album “GUTS.”

Known mostly for her love songs, “GUTS” introduces a new side of Olivia Rodrigo with tracks like “ballad of a homeschooled girl” and “obsessed,” which add a rock-and-roll edge to the album. Not to mention her songs, “scared of my guitar” and “girl i’ve always been,” which have opened Rodrigo to the country music scene. So, it's no surprise that “GUTS” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

After already grossing 146 million dollars, and projected to gross more than 200 million dollars in revenue by the end of the tour; Rodrigo has surpassed expectations with each of her one and a half hour long concerts making her 247,450 dollars.

Olivia Rodrigo singing "logical" on tour

Starting in Palm Springs, performing across Europe and making her final stop in Los Angeles; Olivia Rodrigo has made a legendary and unforgettable tour for the thousands of fans who attended. From singing “Logical” on her iconic moon float, the four costume changes to her openings featuring other incredible artists like Chappell Roan, The Breeders, Benee, Remi Wolf and PinkPantheress; no wonder all of Rodrigo’s concerts quickly sold out.

Another iconic part of the tour is Rodrigo’s all female band, consisting of Hayley Brownwell, Moa Muñoz, Daisy Spencer, Camila Mora, Sophie Guiliani, Ashley Morgan and Julia Gartha; all of whom have supported Olivia in her journey to bring more women into the rock scene throughout the GUTS Tour. The rock music world being mostly male dominated and stereotyped to be only for male performers, Rodrigo has proudly spotlighted many female bands and singers on her social media and during concerts throughout her career thus far, which has inspired many of her young female fans to take a chance on starting bands and writing their own music in a Rock n’ Roll style.

“I think it’s so cool to watch women in rock, and I feel like there’s probably not enough of that shown in the media,” stated Rodrigo in her 2022 Rolling Stone interview.

While Olivia Rodrigo is certainly giving her fans the opportunity to live their “teenage dream,” her albums have reassured many of us that loving yourself is not embarrassing and might be the most logical thing there is. So no matter what goes on in life, problems are indeed all solvable, and it’s okay to take three steps back in order to take one step forward.
