My coffee black with a splash of cream: a teacher's guide to coffee

Teachers are often known for their affinity for coffee, always sporting a classy mug with a niche academic reference… or so the stereotype goes. As a big fan of coffee— possibly an addict, I have always been curious as to what lurks inside those mugs. Each teacher is different, and so is their coffee.
The students, however, are becoming big latte drinkers with the introduction of the nutella latte and regular latte in the school cafeteria’s menu. On campus there is a mix of school and Starbucks lattes in almost every classroom. But through the ebbs and flows of student coffee consumption, the drinks of choice for teachers have remained a mystery.
For the teachers that do drink coffee, their coffee might correspond seasonally, like Ms. Canfield, whose coffee is currently aligned with pumpkin spice season. Her fall drink is a combination of a nespresso pod (blend of her choice) and her pumpkin Chobani creamer. However, for Starbucks, she gets a nonfat hot latte with one pump of pumpkin—the fall essence but not the overwhelming typical pumpkin spice latte. However as the leaves fall and the weather gets colder she switches to a mild (again just one pump) but delicious peppermint mocha.
To contrast seasonal drinkers, Mr. Batch drinks his specially imported coffee beans from Florida every single day. Due to his intermediate fasting, his previously black coffee has been given a splash of cream for the sake of his stomach. Despite his affinity for coffee, he limits the number of cups he has per day and switches between energy drinks and diet soda. Forewarning, do not mention Starbucks around him, he’s not a fan and feels strongly about the quality of their beans.
Mr. Telesca is often seen sipping between phrases of his lecture or in a pause when students are taking down all the notes. In his coffee, like in his lectures, there's a little sweetness, with a spoonful of sugar as well as the typical splash of cream.
However, other teachers on campus don't drink coffee or at least not at school, such as Mx. Hernandez, who prefers their Strawberry Acai Refresher even as the weather begins to chill. But for most of the teachers on campus, their drink of choice in the classroom is water.
Whether seasonal or a daily routine, find the coffee that suits you best!
